Meeting minutes 2022 08 04

Item 1: Any updates about prior releases?

3.7.3 should be prepped soon, Radu has submitted a lot of pull requests for various items Oxygen has found.

There's also a pull request against lwdita but not expecting to bump that plugin version in 3.7.3

Discussion of a new issue, chunking step loses namespaces - fix is likely more complicated than just turning on a switch to preserve it. Robert needs to open an item for tracking.

Item 2: DITA-OT 4.0 Development status and updates

• Merged an update for chunk=split, so that dita 2.0 token works now. Some corner cases may still be hit (like when there are duplicate file names, ids) but basic function is there. Spec has examples showing a topic ID becoming the file name, to help with those edge cases / conflicts the current implementation uses existing file name + ID. Keys are resolved before chunking, so uncertain if some items might not work as expected. Could, potentially, use the resource ID token that replaces copy-to with a file name.
• Several code cleanup items have also been merged

Item 5: Other topics

Question from Frank about content that is only located in Slack, is there any possibility of moving that to locations that are more findable? Yes - trying to push more of the general discussion items to here: https://github.com/orgs/dita-ot/discussions

Discussed a couple months ago and was already the goal, but more so now that Slack free accounts like DITA-OT will begin archiving all messages after 90 days.

Discussion of lwdita -- unfortunately little focus on this plugin right now, Jarno is the sole developer working on it / evaluating pull requests and his focus is more on DITA-OT 4.0 features. Difficult to get updates to lwdita without other developers involved.
