DITA-OT 2.0
Milestone 1 posted and available for testing. Robert has tried it out and found it quite useful, Kris is planning to try it out. Already have a doc page for it, may need review.
Eliot and Jarno have been discussing DITA 1.3 - particularly branch filtering, key scopes, the stuff that will be tough. Jarno has the latest 1.3 spec info and is thinking about it. Also talking about MathML - currently a plug-in, should it be part of the base? Looking at what it does -- for HTML, Eliot's plugin provides option of linking to MathJax (out on web or local copy). For FO, just put the MathML inside foreign object. Works out of box with AH. If you add JEuclid libraries to FOP, then FOP will work as well. Robert's preference so far is to ship it as plug-in (everything moving that direction anyway), but ship as part of core, since it will be part of standard OASIS package.
Discussion about OASIS 1.3 stuff with DITA-OT 1.8* releases -- don't want to integrate big new features into completed release, but could implement plug-ins for markup support and basic formatting support. Could release as "DITA 1.3 (partial) add-on for 1.8* releases".
Eric: for one pull request to fix schemas, need to make updates to docs. Is there a what's new topic? Don't think so, release notes do have migration info, for really big items in there we can have a "what's new or noteworthy" type section. Big thing here is a requirement on the order of libraries in classpath - that probably has doc hits elsewhere.
Doc items to track
Have new doc for "dita" command line. Other features missing from doc, or needing review?
Other items
Robert mostly out since last meeting due to illness / holidays / vacation, back to the office yesterday.
