Using the Search Stars Panel

robbyxp1 edited this page Dec 23, 2023 · 2 revisions

This sub panel of the search panel allows you to perform searches for materials and commodities. Open the search panel from the selector and select the EDSM icon to get to this sub panel.

The top two buttons allow using the star name alone:

  • Look up systems of the same name (using a lazy match) from EDDiscovery System DB (if downloaded)
  • Look up systems of the same name (using a lazy match) from Spansh

The next four allow, using a star name, or an X/Y/Z position to select the search point, to:

  • Look up a set of stars within X light years from that star using the list of systems you visited
  • Look up a set of stars within X light years from that star using EDSM
  • Look up a set of stars within X light years from that star using the System DB
  • Look up a set of stars within X light years from that star using the Spansh.

The cube selector allows you to determine if the distance is indicated a spherical distance, or is a 1/2 length of a cube of space.

You can exclude visited systems from the search.

Right clicking allows you go to the system on EDSM, Spansh, go to it on the 3dMap, or view data on entry as a scan display.

You can export to the expedition panel or save as an expedition.
