Pop Out Panels

All panels can be popped out into their own windows. When so, icons along the top of the panel configure how it is displayed. An example from the summary panel:

/images/summarypanel3.png

The icons along the top configure it.

  • T controls the transparency:

T No box = No transparency

T with a box around = Transparent normally, becomes opaque when the cursor enters area of panel.

Tc = Transparent, but the form does not become opaque and activated when you move the cursor into the panel. Instead you must press the activate key defined in the Settings panel to activate it. All controls within the panel can be clicked when transparent.

Tf = Transparent, but the form does not become opaque and activated when you move the cursor into the panel. Instead you must press the activate key defined in the Settings panel to activate it (shift is the default). All controls within the panel are inert unless the form is opaque.

Use Tf for panels which are over layed on the Elite screen when it is running in borderless or windowed mode (use the Elite graphics options to configure this).

  • C means caption("Summary panel") on/off,

  • The box with dots mean show in taskbar on/off.

  • The empty rectangle is top most on/off. Use this, with Elite running in borderless mode, and drag the window over the top of Elite to have an overlay panel.

  • Minimise

  • Close.

A panel over-layed on elite should have these settings: Tf, Fill rectangle (Top most). With Elite in borderless mode.
