Using the Nearest Stars Panel

robbyxp1 edited this page Dec 23, 2023 · 16 revisions

The Nearest stars panel shows the list of stars closest to the system selected by the history grid cursor, and the number of times you visited them.

Setting a maximum distance calculates a sphere with a radius of that value and outputs systems inside that sphere. Setting a minimum distance calculates a sphere with a radius of that value and eliminates all systems in that inner sphere outputting only the systems lying inside the calculated spherical shell.

Checking "Cube" ignores the minimum distances and calculates a cube with your current system in the centre and a side length of two times the given maximum distance. Note that the farthest systems in this cube can be farther away than the maximum distance (maximum distance times the square root of 3).

Right click a system to add it to the trilateration panel or see it on EDSM.

The panel is a read only panel. You can pop out the panel to a window if required.
