Panel Control

You can select what is shown by using the toolbar along the top:

  • Show another star: Click to select a different star than the one selected on the history grid

  • Filter control: Select to determine what body types are shown. Lots of different classes of planets and stars can be filtered in or out.

  • Option control: Select optional features:

    • Show Body Status Icons: Turn on/off showing body status icons (see later)

    • Show Materials: Show materials, as seen here, or not (a small icon will show materials are present)

    • Show Rare Materials only: For the people who only care about them.

    • Hide Materials that have reached their storage limits: Don't show ones you don't need.

    • Show Moons

    • Show G on all planets

    • Show Hab zone markers - planets in the hab zone (and are not in a barycentre) are shown with a green background

    • Show star class. Star class is reported as StarType (A,M etc), Star Subclass and Luminosity class (M 2 Va for example)

    • Show planet class. One of the following: "MR" Metal Rich, "HMC" High Metal Content, "R" Rocky, "I" Icy, "R+I" Rocky and Icy, "E" Earthlike, "W" Water World, "A" Ammonia, "WG" Water Giant, "WGL" Water Giant with Life, "GWL" Gas Giant with Water based life, "GAL" Gas Giant with Ammonia based Life, "S-I","S-II","S-III","S-IV","S-V" (all Sudarsky types Gas giants), "HRG" Helium Rich Giant, "HG" Helium Gas Giant

    • Show distance of body to start point

    • Show system and value in display below toolbar

  • Planet size: multiple sizing options are given

  • EDSM: Grab EDSM data on the system to supplement your own data

  • Configure value limit for the $ value icon

  • Export: Output body data to a file

The toolbar can be hidden by rolling it up - use the pin on the right.

FSS Signals

If FSS Signals are in the system, they are shown next to the primary star (in priority order):

  • If the system has stations

  • If the system has carriers present

  • If the system has installations present

  • If the system has Notable Stellar Phenomenon

  • If the system has resource sites

  • If the system has combat zones present

  • If the system has unidentified signal sources

A maximum of five icons can be displayed. If more than five of the above, the last one is dropped off and a generic signal icon is shown:

  • More signals present. Click on this icon to see the list.

Hover over the icons to get a tool tip description of the FSS signals, or click on it to pop up a window.

Body Status Icons:

On the left of each moon/planet is shown icons showing the state of the body:

  • If a planet is Terraformable

  • If a planet has Volcanism

  • If a planet has high estimated value (value configurable via the $ button)

  • If a planet has signals

  • If the planet has been mapped by you

  • If the planet has been mapped by others

  • If the planet has been discovered by others

  • If the planet has organic signals

Other Visual elements

The blue line around the planet or moon indicates its land-able.

Multiple rings are shown by a gap in the ring.

Barycentres are marked by barycentre outlines.

A green background indicates that it is in the habitable zone of the star, and may possibly be terraformable.

Getting information on the bodies

Hovering over a item shows you a text description of it. Clicking on a planet pops up a note with the same data.

Clicking on empty space closes the note.
