Using the Mission Overlay Panel

The mission overlay panel shows you a list of current missions

This panel can be placed into transparent mode and positioned over the Elite Dangerous display (in borderless or windowed mode) to provide a current mission overlay feature.

Right click on the window to select what is displayed:
