Focal Update (it was DNS)

  • DNS resolving not working in staging environment
  • Focal uses systemd-resolved; doesn't work with our current configuration
  • Recommendation from folks Kushal spoke to is to disable systemd-resolved and switch back to /etc/resolv.conf type configuration
  • OSSEC https://github.com/freedomofpress/securedrop/pull/5638
  • (Mickael) Some errors may be related to systemd transition as well (service does not start).
  • (Kushal) I observed same failure mode in Xenial, but then it restarts.

  • reviewed coverage (#5657) - coverage is now at the correct ~85%; much lower reports were due to old version
