Participants (alphabetical): Conor, Emmanuel, Erik, Jen, Kevin, Kushal, Mike, Mickael

Conor

Yesterday: API proxy - #107 in workstation repo

Today: Spent some time working on config tests. Standing by on hardware QA

Blockers: None

Emmanuel

Yesterday: Was at the Decentralized Web Summit (https://decentralizedweb.net/), and SecureDrop support

Today: See above.

Blockers: None.

Erik

Yesterday: Mainly non-SD, a bit more UX research outreach; posted trademark guidelines

Today: Even more UX outreach; more non-SD work, may poke at virtualized prod env if time allows

Blockers: None

Jen

Yesterday: Did some reviewing of Mickael's PR, finished local client DB structure. Merged the first piece of that. Started work on the reply refactor

Today: Continuing on that. ^^

Blockers: None

Kevin

Yesterday: Started working on removing app-test scaffolding from staging VMs. Started running functional tests, found failure. GPG doesn't get set up if you're running against a remote instance.

Today: Need to get back to remote management stuff. Stuck on getting the VPN set up. VPN is set up according to config file.

Blockers: None apart from that

Kushal

Yesterday: Reviewed Jen's PR about securedrop client. Trying to run pages_layout against .onion address. Have fix for GPG issue - will put PR against that.

Today:

Blockers: None

Mickael

Yesterday: Fixed CI that broke due to safety check. Looked at 3673, prior work made this easy -- moving forward with 3674. Updated ticket with before/after screenshot. With Jen's 3675, we'll be able to actually have real read receipts.

Today: Non-SD time

Blockers: Appreciate comments on UX

Extended discussion

  • Kushal: While running make dev, I noticed that running Docker's port-mapping the standard way is considered dangerous. When I was running a local SD instance inside a container, I noticed that Docker exposes ports publicly.
