Yesterday:

Helped review and merge https://github.com/freedomofpress/securedrop-client/pull/944 and opened a couple followup scalability issues around sync timing out and taking a long time with 1000 sources

Set up my staging instance for 1000 sources by changing the qa_loader.py script to create 1000 sources but somehow ended up with 24987 sources so nuked everything and rebuilt staging and went back to the original idea to use create-dev-data.py which worked

Opened https://github.com/freedomofpress/securedrop-client/pull/1002 (don't allow Cancel when transferring files)

Reviewed and merged https://github.com/freedomofpress/securedrop-client/pull/1003 (stop star hover on click)

Reviewed and merged https://github.com/freedomofpress/securedrop-client/pull/1002 (do not show failed or draft replies in snippet)

Yesterday:

  • Worked on 944 and scalability findings, this is the highest priority at least on the client side. As I said yesterday in slack once we get some nice fixes in we can cut another release at some point next week.
  • made fix for drafts appearing in snippets, that was merged thaanks

Today:

  • Reviewed the small export change allie put up last night, put up the release PR for client, added tags in the relevant repos. Will review mickaels release related PRs.
  • Getting my PR for preventing addition of duplicated api jobs ready for review since that is one of the needed scalability fixes (given my PTO this will be next week sometime).
  • I'm going to be taking tomorrow and Monday PTO. If Things Happen I'll cancel it since obviously I will be at home :-) #pandemic
