Allie

Yesterday: (until Friday) @ PyCon.

  • Client release

    • Now able to test the client on Qubes (this is HUGE)

  • "First name / last name" support in SecureDrop core requiring an alembic migration

    • Sets us up for the client first-name greeting from the login screen

    • Makes it so admins can create new accounts with first and last name

    • Makes it so admins and journalists can edit first and last name from both the admin and accounts interfaces

  • Looking into lint fix PR that Jen opened
  • Standing by for requested changes on two (2) SDW RPM-related PRs

  • Mike: building new CI image will "automatically" enable it in CI, yes? Yes - assuming there's been no changes to that logic in the repo.

  • Doing a couple of commits today on unhandled exceptions that were identified in audit

  • Moving timeout logic to SDK, PRs ready in SDK and client, needs new release

Yesterday:

  • Merged rmol's TBB branch, be on the lookout for test flakes and please file issues so we can kill them quickly
  • Linting not working locally was apparently a major confusion for peeps at pycon, made a PR but will get staging CI passing on that today

Today:

  • Investigating this https://github.com/pypa/pipenv/pull/3304/files to see if it solves our pipenv woes regarding not being able to update a single dependency, else we are going to ditch pipenv. If anyone has gotten further on this research lmk and I'll stop
  • Last week we found an issue with gpg key import not working in Qubes in the client (which means we can't send replies), going to continue working on that today
  • Review SDK timeout PR - would appreciate others reviewing this also (i see allie marked that in her review pile thanks!!)

  • Taking the AM off to make-up for hours on Friday & to garden

  • Flag For Reply stuff for workstation (will maaaybe have something prep'd for tomorrow)
  • Network Activity Indicator stuff for workstation; goal to review tomorrow in pre-Sprint Planning UX review
