Reminder: By the end of this week we have to decide whether 0.7.1 is going to stay on our internal schedule. (Monday holiday in the US, then pre-release announcement.)

Yesterday: Mainly non-SD work (hiring, fundraising stuff), finished first draft of Qubes blog post

Today: Start getting/incorporating feedback on Qubes blog post, more hiring fun

Blockers: None

Harris

Observer mode

Jen

Yesterday: Pycrypto PR - problem decrypting files in chunks, should be resolved

Today: Taking another issue off the pile

Blockers: None

Josh

Spent time with Harlo, went through the Workstation, good ideas for improvements

Using Ubuntu VM on Qubes, but bad user experience

Kushal

Yesterday: Reached home safely.

Today: Totally jet lagged. Picked up #3461, will submit the PR tomorrow. Will do a blog post about the SecureDrop sprints in PyCon.

Blockers: None.

Loic

Found a bug in Ansible: IP address filter does not allow for /32 addresses. Created a bug + PR

Mike

Yesterday: Had a good chat with Erik/Conor about "speed up builds" issue + CI. Deb PR is ready for review.

Today: First pass of upgrade test PR (scaffolding)

Blockers: None

Mickael

Yesterday: Pushed RC1 + kernels to apt-test. Running into errors in postinstall. When you do sudo service apache2 stop it doesn't stop it - need to go through apachectl. Wtf?

Today: Continuing to debug

Blockers: None

Extended discussion

  • Prioritizing "unbreak staging" a bit more highly
  • PyCon sprints: a lot of roadblocks, but good to see PRs
  • Conor: Generally very positive interaction
  • Erik: Perhaps set aside time prior to future community activities to reduce impact on dev team
