  • [Erik] Update to board: Will make a habit of introducing "Nominated for next sprint" column ~mid-sprint, then always remove it after sprint planning. Unless you're Jen or Erik, please get a +1 before moving stuff there so it doesn't end up duplicating the larger backlog.

  • [Erik] Motion to close https://github.com/freedomofpress/securedrop/issues/4202 - apparently harmless one-time (on upgrade) gnupg error we've not been able to reproduce - agreed to close

  • [Erik] Motion to keep open but remove from backlog https://github.com/freedomofpress/securedrop/issues/4206 - tor packages not upgraded immediately, won't make this point release, and won't help us unless we decide to cut another one - agreed

  • [Kev] Release update: Changes for RC1 are in place. Have created QA matrix, simplified scenarios from 0.12.0 (removing fresh install on 1U hardware). Will draft test plan after this meeting.

  • Recap of branching and PR strategy: PRs go first into develop, then backported into release branch.

  • PSA: Don't forget that SecureDrop maintainers can write to contributor forks by default.

  • PSA: String and feature freeze is now the same date, i.e. string freeze is two weeks out, not one week out.

  • PSA: Minor nomenclature note - Flaky tests != flake8 lint failures.
