Managing Website records in Touchpoints

I’ve been identified as a Website Manager, now what?

  • Initially, ensure your website is up to date in Touchpoints
  • Annually, complete the data collection to inventory websites for the 21st Century IDEA.
  • Continually, work towards 100% compliance with established website measures

In support of GSA's data call regarding websites, in support of EDX (Enterprise Digital Experiences) agency-wide initiative to improve Customer Experience, Touchpoints now allows for the management of Websites, as digital assets.

In early 2021, teams in GSA consolidated several spreadsheets containing website information into a single, master spreadsheet of all websites.

The website data has been imported into Touchpoints, where it can be easily managed and reported on.

The goals of moving from a spreadsheet of websites to a Website Inventory:

  • improve the user experience of data collection
  • improve the data quality and organizational reporting value of data
    • add additional functionality and rigor to data management processing

The status card page is a work in progress, and designed to integrate information to inform Website Owners.

Notably, Site Scanner information is displayed, if available. Not every GSA site has site scanner results as of July 9, 2021, but more sites will be scanned over time.
