Nic Dobbins edited this page Aug 18, 2020 · 1 revision

As the name implies a Modifier modifies an Event, and is typically an adjective which precedes a noun or noun phrase.

Modifiers serve two primary use cases:

  1. To specify the state of a Condition or other Event not including severity.
  2. To indicate that a Name (e.g., Condition-Name) is split into multiple spans separated by Or.

Trigger

  • If indicating state, annotate phrases such as chronic or untreated.
