Manual Testing Guidelines

"If you changed something to do with X, you should test Y as well!" This page attempts to codify the various bits of advice in that area to provide a cohesive manual testing process to help us avoid crashing. It'll generally be updated as we think of things (or as we crash the game), so consider it a living document.

Combat

This is the big one. You get to test many forms of combat:

  • Melee
  • Ranged, same room, vs melee
  • Ranged, same room, vs ranged
  • Ranged, across rooms
  • Melee, when surprising someone
  • Ranged, when surprising someone
  • Adept nerve strike
  • Driven vehicle shooting someone from a mount
  • Driven vehicle doing a driveby
  • The above vehicle checks, but with a rigger in the vehicle
  • The above vehicle checks, but with a rigger remote-controlling the vehicle (vehicle empty)
