How to enable Bluetooth control over my car audio

Go to Settings
Go to System
Go to Developer options
Go to Bluetooth audio codec
Change it to SBC or something else

(as of Oct 4, 2023, all codec options are disabled by default. This means I can't control car audio through the car audio interface anymore.)
