Trouble shooting at login

If you cannot log into the network these tips can help you:

"The login button is inactive or the login credentials disappear from the input fields when I click the Login button"

This occurs if your browser is not compatible with the ocelot.social network. The network has functionalities which are not available at the Edge browser, with some versions of Internet Explorer (especially as well as older versions of browsers, especially on MacOS and Linux, or if you use an device with an old operating system that no longer gets browser updates.

Solution: Update your browser, use the latest version of Firefox, Chrome or Opera or use a device with a contemporary operating system.

"I forgot my password"

  1. Go to the login page: https://ocelot.social/login (replace ocelot.social by the actual domain).
  2. Click the link Forgot password.
  3. Enter the e-mail address of your user account.
  4. Click on Request e-mail.
  5. A message for resetting your password will be sent to your e-mail address.
  6. Click the button/link in the message. If that doesn’t work then please copy and paste the access code in our message into the page in your browser and click Continue.
  7. Enter a new password twice. The system shows you how safe your password is. Please choose a safe or very safe password. Avoid any dictionary words and passwords that you use elsewhere.
  8. Click on Change password. You must do this within 24 hours after receipt of our message.
  9. Now you should be able to login again.

"The message ‘Incorrect email address or password’ appears"

  1. Check if you entered the e-mail address and the password correctly.
  2. Make sure that the caps lock key on your keyboard is not activated.
  3. Check that you enter the e-mail address that belongs to your user account.
  4. If your browser inserts the credentials automatically please overwrite them. Or contact the support staff of the network.

Trouble shooting e-mails

"I am not getting your e-mails!"

  1. Please wait a few moments. Breathe deeply, stand up and treat yourself with something nice, like a cup of tea. Some things just need time.
  2. Check your spam folder. If you find our e-mail there please add the e-mail address to your address book of your mailbox and put the network's domain on the whitelist of your mailboxes spam filter. That helps future e-mails to reach your inbox.
  3. Repeat the action you just did, like resetting the password.
  4. Check if e-mails by other senders still reach you. Make a test by sending an e-mail message to the same address.
  5. Rarely, e-mails get lost in the Internet, or in deep space or beyond. To this date, no one ever found that giant pile of lost messages but be sure it’s huuuuge! To cut things short: Repeat the same process (for example a password reset) and see if …the miracle happens!?
  6. If fortune is on a holiday, please contact the support team of the network.
