Agenda

1. Production OpenGrid issues

  • Datasets cannot be added to application #171

Right now it takes 30 seconds or more to pull the list of datasets from Plenario, it will occasionally time-out. Opengrid.io currently calls once every 12 hours. Each data set requires a unique call to find the metadata and columns for each dataset.

UTurn is putting more logging into place to discover the source of the issues. Had not communicated with Will@Plenario, but just noticed the timing issue today.

@rladines thinks there was a service where a single-call could be used to call to multiple services.

Also, the cache is not centrally located (just a background caching service).

✔️ Decision: set a longer cache so the issue does not surface until it can be resolved. Cache will set to reload in about a week. There are no new datasets being added to OpenGrid that are needed to be updated in the metadata.
