Releases

The next version of OpenGrid in the OpenGrid repo is v1.0.1, expected delivery during the week of February 1, 2016 Currently, the next stable release will include:

  • Improvements to the Quick Search function that addresses the searching outside of the Chicago-area. For other deployments, it will be easier to configure the bounding box around a specific area. #135
    • When ESRI geocoder detects and address, it will only display the top result. Points-of-interest will display the top 20 results.
  • Several minor documentation and Git-related fixes:
    • Adding dist and node_modules folders to a root .gitignore file #132
    • Clarifying contribution instructions. See #136 and #130

After this release, it will be integrated into chicago.opengrid.io and WindyGrid platforms in the upcoming weeks.

Other discussion items

  • There is substantial work needed to consolidate the code base of chicago.opengrid.io and opengrid. That will be a priority in the next substantial development phase.
  • Work still needs to be done by the project team to clarify labels and come-up with a prioritization mechanism.
  • Need to determine an upcoming "sprint planning" call to prioritize the next major features.
