Adding new entries to a database will create the entry, assign New Entryto the title and use the default username if set. If you want to customise this or need different setups for special entries (e.g. add a secret question and answer) you can use templates.

If you need to customise the newly created entries, you can create a folder with entry templates inside your database and set this as the template folder and just use those templates when creating new entries.

To enable this, create a group with templates

Then got to Database Settings > Advanced and set the group as template group.

If you want to create entries based on your templates, press the arrow not the add entry button and select the template you want to use.

By default, the password for those entries will not get changed. You can change this behaviour by checking the Update password for new entries box under Preferences > Workflow.

If you want to add TOTP in MacPass (v0.8.1+ only!) you can use the opt custom field or you can use the wizard in MacPass which you can access by opening it via the drop down besides the "add custom field" button.

The a wizard pops up and you can add you URL there
