PanelRAM

In this panel, you can configure the various RAM options for the emulated system.

  • Chip: The amount of Chip RAM the system should have. Typically, the A500 had 512KB of Chip RAM, while the A1200 had 2MB. You can also go beyond what the original machines had, and allocate up to a maximum of 8MB of Chip RAM.

  • Slow: This is Fast RAM for the A500, which typically had an expansion of 512KB here. Newer 32-bit systems like the A1200 did not use this, but had actual "Fast" RAM instead.

  • Z2/Z3 Fast: Fast RAM in the Zorro II or Zorro III interface. This is what the 32-bit systems used, with models from the A1200 up to the A4000(T). Depending on how much you have in your system, you can allocate up to 1GB of RAM here.

  • Motherboard Fast RAM: Some Amiga models had on-board memory as well. Here you can set how much of that you want to allocate, if any.

  • Processor slot Fast RAM: Big-box Amigas supported Fast RAM on the Processor slot as well, up to 128MB. You can allocate that here.
