GUI: Expansions
In this panel, you can configure various expansion boards that will be connected to the emulated Amiga. Please note that many of the options here are not fully functional, since they are currently stripped down in Amiberry. They may be added in future versions, but for now only the most commonly used options are available.
Some of these expansions will be set automatically for you, depending on the model of Amiga you chose to emulate (for example, the internal IDE for A1200 models).
You can also enable a few expansion options that are commonly used:
-
bsdsocket.library
: This enables thebsdsocket.library
in Amiberry, which is used from applications to detect if a TCP/IP stack is running. If you enable this, the Amiga applications you run will see your emulated Amiga as being connected to the network Amiberry is running on. In other words, enable this if you want your emulated Amiga to be connected to the Internet/LAN. -
uaescsi.device
: This enables theuaescsi.device
, which can be used to connect to hard drives inside the emulation. -
uaenet.device
: currently disabled. -
CD32 Full Motion Video cartridge
: This enables the FMV module for the CD32, only useful if you're emulating a CD32 of course.
