This page describes the general requirements of a use for a website like metalcon
- Pages must load in much less than a second.
- The content presented on a large page like metalcon must adapt to the interests of the user.
- The personalization must be transparent. The user wants to understand why and how the site adapts to his interests
- The user wants to have the possibility to control the level of personalization
- Users are not willing to fill out a questionnaire or share any other information explicitly
- users are not willing to surf around the page to understand what services the site offers.
- platform-independence as users do not want to change their platform preferences
Users want to directly understand which problems can be solved when he stays on the web site.
- The user wants to control access to his data and personal information.
- The user doesn't want to be overruled by standard privacy settings which are (too) hard to change
- The user doesn't want to have third parties access his private data without permission.
