OSPOS deployment using IIS instead of apache.
Just wanted to inform anyone that is looking for support for Windows Server Internet Information Services. I use apache on my dev server and had absolutely no issues but my production server is windows based and found out quickly that OSPOS did not support it. I didn't want to have to take down the current webhost in use or install/config apache to use another port.
After some trial and error, I succeeded in making it work and have some simple steps for the next person.
- Point your webroot folder to "/ospos_path/public" directly
- install the url_rewrite module in iis manager
- import the .htaccess to make a web.config file with the rewrite rules
- everything else can be followed in the install.md
Everything works exactly as it should, took me longer than i would like to admit to figure that out. Keep up the good work everyone!
