Installing and configuring

  • GPSOSD is now available as easy install using GUI configurator flash tool - instructions

Hardware connectivity

  • Aeromax hardware is recommended for GPSOSD - it is designed by ShikOfTheRa with additional connectivity for GPSOSD
  • A standard installation wiring diagram is available here

Minim OSD hardware - or custom builds - config.h file

Additional functionality is available via custom build options - use the RSSI input pin as a PWM throttle channel providing throttle and virtual current sensor information. Full PPM is also supported which can provide throttle information, RSSI via PPM stream, full menu access and virtual current sensor.

AEROMAX OSD hardware

This is the most developed minim OSD board and has all standard functionality plus can use RSSI via PWM and full PPM control simultaneously.

Use GPSOSD config tab to match transmitter type, reverse channels and set the input type. Guide

GPS module configuration

If using UBLOX or MTK GPS, the OSD will attempt to autoconfigure the GPS speed and paramters it needs.

If you are using an NMEA , you will need to configure the GPS module to match the OSD (typically 115k) and also send GGA and RMC frames data. The is usually a utility to do this. If you are unable to get this working, try using nmea at 9600 speed.

Prefernce is for UBLOX gps modules as they provide more information for the OSD
