This is a new stable and refactored release. Still lacks a few features from 0.2 that will be added soon, but so far it's working and more stable.

Download the zip file.
From Blender, go to preferences > Add-Ons
Click "Install..." and navigate to the zip file, and select "Install Add-on from File..."
Enable the addon

Installation

From Blender, go to preferences > Add-Ons
Click "Install..." and navigate to the zip file, and select "Install Add-on from File..."
Enable the addon

Path to OIDN denoiser:

  • For the OIDN denoiser path, select the actual folder (not the .exe binary) that is bundled in this package. Optionally from the folder %appdata%/Blender Foundation/Blender/2.82/scripts/addons/thelightmapper if you installed directly from .zip file

  • OpenCV Based filtering options for post-processing

  • Automatic Installation for OpenCV

  • Direct 32-bit RGBE (.hdr) export for Armory/EEVEE/Unity

  • RGBM/RGBD png encoding for non-compatible engines (Godot/UE4/Etc.)

  • Automatic node-management (Setup, backup, restoration)


Installation:

  • Download the zip file (Your OS version)
  • From Blender, go to preferences > Add-Ons
  • Click "Install..." and navigate to the zip file, and select "Install Add-on from File..."
  • Enable the addon
  • Done!

PLEASE NOTE! LINUX AND OSX USERS:

  • You might run into issues with either symbolic links or permissions. If the problem persists, a probably fix is to go to: https://github.com/OpenImageDenoise/oidn/releases and select your version.
  • Afterwards, unpack the content (4 folders) into "ADDON_DIRECTORY/OIDN"
