@niksirbi this is ready to test now (and has been for a week, but forgot to ping you 🤦 ). On a ~300 GB dataset the downsampling ran in ~minutes for me, reading and writing from an SSD. Any feedback/suggestions very welcome! |

Hey @dstansby, sorry for the delay. I tried the downsampling on some of our data, and it was blazingly fast (the downsampling time was negligible compared to the time needed to create the 0-th level). |
