Backing DisplayMagician settings

It's really easy to back up DisplayMagician's settings. Simply ZIP up the C:\users<username>\AppData\Local\DisplayMagician directory tree, and store that ZIP file somewhere until you need it. All of DisplayMagician's configuration is stored in files within that C:\users<username>\AppData\Local\DisplayMagician directory.

Restoring DisplayMagician settings

  • Stop DisplayMagician if it is running.
  • Rename any existing C:\users\<username>\AppData\Local\DisplayMagician directory to something like C:\users\<username>\AppData\Local\DisplayMagician-old
  • Then extract the ZIP you backed up previously to the C:\users\<username>\AppData\Local\DisplayMagician directory.
