About Me

Software engineer with hands-on experience building safety-critical avionics software and embedded radar systems. I've owned full SDLC cycles — from requirements in IBM DOORS to hardware bench testing and customer delivery builds. I work best at the intersection of systems thinking and low-level software, and I thrive in cross-functional environments where reliability isn't optional.

Experience

Honeywell Aerospace — Software Engineer

Feb 2025 – Present · Phoenix, AZ

  • Built the backend for a real-time avionics map navigation display on the pilot flight deck, pulling live flight path data across a world map grid and driving display updates across 3 hardware units
  • Designed a job submission and processing pipeline that serialized 13+ pilot-selected parameters across 3 data processor units, interfaced with the platform API, and routed results to 3 cockpit display units
  • Owned full SDLC delivery: requirements decomposition (IBM DOORS) → desktop simulation → hardware bench testing → customer delivery integration
  • Designed and executed automated test suites validating 100+ software requirements end-to-end, including VHF datalink message transmission, link establishment handshaking, and acknowledgment integrity checks
  • Drove resolution of 50+ high-priority defects in cross-functional collaboration with systems, hardware, and software teams — directly improving platform stability and on-time delivery

Lockheed Martin — Systems Engineer

Jan 2024 – Aug 2024 · Owego, NY

  • Automated 10+ embedded software tests using Python and MATLAB in a simulated environment, improving test execution efficiency by 80%
  • Developed and debugged embedded firmware and hardware for radar systems within an Agile team using regression testing and defect tracking workflows
  • Integrated and validated RF radar hardware in environmental test chambers for customer demos and program qualification
  • Authored documentation for 25 system-level tests, reducing new engineer onboarding time by 20%
  • Analyzed RF antenna performance data to optimize signal strength across frequency, pulse width, and geolocation parameters for aerial vehicle testing
