Summary:
The update did not run on reboot. This can be caused by a variety of reasons that will require some extra debugging.
Solution:
Ensure "Boot Order Lock" is disabled in the system firmware setup.
Make sure to move boot entry "Linux firmware update" to boot position one.
Try turning off secure boot. There is a known shim upstream bug in "recent" shim releases that causes it to not work with fwupd. Attempts at fixing it:
