Description

The current traffic light ROI visualization in RViz does not accurately reflect the intended color representation and includes unnecessary textual overlays that clutter the view. This issue aims to address these concerns by adjusting the color settings to match real-world traffic light colors more closely and simplifying the textual content to enhance overall clarity and usability.

Purpose

The purpose of this enhancement is to improve the accuracy and usability of the traffic light region of interest (ROI) visualization in RViz. By correcting color mismatches and simplifying the textual overlays, this update aims to provide users with a more intuitive and clutter-free interface, facilitating better decision-making and analysis in applications that depend on accurate traffic light data visualization.

Possible approaches

  1. Color Correction: Adjust the ROI colors to accurately represent real-world traffic light colors, ensuring that they are correctly distinguished and understood by users.
  2. Text Simplification: Remove the current textual overlays from the ROI. Replace them with minimalistic alternatives such as displaying only the detection probability, or alternatively, showing the probability alongside simple graphical representations (e.g., shapes) of the traffic light status.

Definition of done

  • Colors are correct.
  • Text has been modified (removed or updated to shapes)
