Release 3 is a major upgrade and includes a C compiler for Windows. Notes | Bin
Note: Release 2 was abandoned. Notes | Bin
The WinLua project seeks regular release intervals. Initial development will be haphazard so releases will be spontaneous. The goal is to create regular point releases every 3 months where necessary, and scheduled releases semi-annually. The Project seeks to allow for upgrades of components within Major Releases. Installation upgrades between Major releases is not currently possible, but is a future goal.
The WinLua project uses a "project schedule" release strategy. The strategy means there are regular releases from the project that include various components and features such as the Lua installer or the planned .Net integration components. Component VERSIONS are independent of the WinLua RELEASES (and each other) but are noted within the release notes and in the installers. WinLua Releases follow a "release.yearmonth.patchletter" pattern:
- 1.1802.a --> Release one, February 2018
- 1.1805.a --> Release one, May 2018
- 1.1805.b --> Patch to release one, version May 2018
- 1.1811.a --> Release one, November 2018 revision
- 2.1901.1 --> Release two, January 2019
