Ecobee3

Ecobee3 and 3 remote sensors along with hue motion sensors that you aquire temp from. I love these they allow me to average the temps in my home. In conjunction with ceiling fans I am able to keep a nice balance of temps in my Home.

The combination of these has allow me to average my temps and balance them out. While the hue is primary designed for motion the api allow for to do a rest call and get the temps. The ecobee sensors also provide occupancy but i find that rather slow and not really of any use for automations. I have the ecobee configured here. I basically have Homeassistant control modes of the thermostat which i have named as Home, Away, and sleep.
