- Floorp Expands CPU Support and Delivers Speed Boost on Windows 32-bit
Good news for Windows 32-bit users! Floorp no longer requires a CPU that supports SSE4.1 instructions for installation. This means wider compatibility, with support for all CPUs that can run Firefox.
If you're having trouble launching the 64-bit version of Floorp, try the 32-bit version instead. It might solve the issue!

🌟 What’s new!
Run Almost Any Extension in the Sidebar!
That's right! You can now use most extensions directly within Floorp's Sidebar (Browser Manager Sidebar). Just enable the setting in about:preferences#bSB and restart Floorp. This also unlocks picture-in-picture and web developer tools in the sidebar for a more versatile experience.
❗Keep in mind:
- Some extensions might still not work due to technical limitations. These require special handling and may be unstable.
- AdGuard is currently incompatible, but similar extensions like uBlock Origin work well. Try exploring different options to find the perfect fit.
Example: Block ads on YouTube with uBlock Origin in the sidebar.

Manage Your Web Apps on preferences page!
If the web apps have compatibility, You can manage all web apps on preferences page. Check all web apps or uninstall them.
Add some preferences to relate to PWA on preferences page.
Now, you can disable all toolbar on PWA window.

Now, “Back” & “Reload” buttons available on PWA window.
If “Show Workspace Name on Tab Bar’s Workspace Button” is enabled, Workspaces can run without Workspaces toolbar button.

Fix invisible vertical tab bar background, when user enable collapse vertical tab bar.
Fix In vertical tabs, when dragging out tabs to create a window, the area to be dragged was too large.

- Resolved an issue where vertical tab bar could no longer be scrolled with the mouse wheel if “Collapse Vertical Tabs” was enabled when vertical tabs were enabled.
- Add various no compatibility website injections.
- Resolved an issue where the workspace would occasionally multiply into two if the workspace setting “Manage workspaces in the browser manager sidebar” was enabled and Floorp was set not to restore the previous tab when starting up.
- Resolved workspace button bloat issue in Fluerial UI.
- Fixed an issue where digital signatures were missing in the Windows version.

- Floorp on macOS is experiencing an issue where the workspace context menu proliferates. This problem does not affect usability, but we would like to fix it (if possible) within the next month.

Legacy workspaces is a prototype level feature. Because of it, It has lots of bugs. New workspaces is different from legacy one.
What Workspaces changed:

The workspace now works in multiple windows, and all windows are separated.

Workspace toolbar buttons are now movable. This allows you to use the workspace feature wherever you like.

Workspaces are enabled by default. However, when there is less than one workspace, it no longer interferes with the display/hide of tabs, making it compatible with extensions.

Made some improvements to popups for workspace management.

Added icons to the context menu for moving tabs between workspaces, and improved appearance.

When you create a new workspace based on your feedback, Floorp will provide a workspace name for users, such as “New Workspace,” instead of deciding on a name first.

- Why “Progressive Web Apps” feature only can be used on Windows?
It occurred by OSes compatibility problem. PWA feature is XUL based. So It means affected by XUL limit. On Windows, There is window manager API. But, On Mac & Linux, There are no same APIs.
If we get a contributor who can write C+ language & has good knowledge about Linux or Mac window, Maybe we can release same feature on these OSes.
