Instead of a large readme, we could also document items in the wiki more indepth. So first things first, the readme should always be your start.
To customize, read the build.sh file and change what youd like. The latest and greatest kernel can be tried to compile by simply changing the first variable in the build script and it should compile (or any older kernel for that matter). Bugs can be found and I suggest you open an isue if you cant solve it that easely or if you made a fix, send a pull request.
