  • Check that post Health Unit members have active accounts
  • Send to Health Unit (PCMO, and MA, MS) CD, DMO, Country Desk officer- After onboarding unless advised communication is directed only to Health Unit.
  • Best Practice: advise Post to begin Volunteers on Medlink mid-month so that the first ordering period is within 2 weeks, rather than a month- this will help volunteers to know and trust the system- helps with adoption and adherence.

Your Post has been recommended or has requested information about implementing PC Medlink. An application that facilitates, organizes, and streamlines communication between Volunteers and their health unit for the purpose of ordering their Medical Supplies.

Getting your post started is a quick and easy process. If interested please email us at Support@pcmedlink.org or reply to this email.

PC Medlink is currently being used successfully in <15> posts. We’ve had great feedback from Post staff health units as well as Volunteers on the ease of use and time saving spent filling medical supply orders. We would love to get your post started and help you utilize this tool that is saving Medical Units an average of 30 hours a month.

Start using PC Medlink in 3 easy steps.

  1. Get Trained Up PC Medlink is designed to be very simple, and it is. In 30 minutes we can walk you through everything you need to know in a 1 on 1 fashion. Let us know you are interested, and we will schedule a video call to make sure you are completely comfortable with using the tool.

  2. Communicate the Change to PCVs For most med units, a move to PC Medlink means a move to a once-a-month fulfillment schedule. Volunteers simply need to be told that we are moving to a new ordering system and that all orders will be processed at the beginning of the month. Posts have successfully used an email to announce this change supplemented by the automatic communication from PC Medlink that includes an instructional welcome email and multiple sms messages.

  3. Correct PCVs In your first month it is likely that you will have multiple volunteers order the old way and not use pcmedlink.org. Use these orders as an opportunity to tell them about PC Medlink and direct them to place their order through the system. By your second month, this should be much less of an issue.

At the end of this email is a message to the Volunteers to make them aware of the change with PC Medlink. Please feel free to edit or change as you see fit.

We can upload Volunteers to the system as soon as we get the go ahead from you. A mid-month starting point is better for Volunteers to adjust to the change management, this way when they place their first order it is responded to within 2 weeks, rather than a month- this will help volunteers to know and trust the system and we believe this helps with adoption and adherence.

Everyone should now have an account with PC Medlink and can log in by going to www.pcmedlink.org

If you need to reset your password to access your profile:

  1. To log in go to https://pcmedlink.org (Please note: program works best in Chrome, or other updated browser)
  2. Click “Trouble logging in?” and enter Peace Corps email

We are pleased to announce a streamlined process for you to order non-prescription medical supplies from your Health Unit, called PC Medlink. This is a tool that allows you to order supplies via the web or text messaging and see your requests in a single web portal. This will make it easier for you to order supplies and will allow your Health Unit to track your requests more effectively.

PC Medlink Tutorials

Here’s how PC Medlink will work and a few changes that you can expect to the medical supply process: You can order any non-prescription item via SMS or the Internet at any time You’ll receive an automated confirmation that your order has been received and when you can expect it to be available Your Health Unit will respond to orders the first week of every month.

We are excited to pilot this new tool with Volunteers in your country and look forward to your feedback so we can continually improve it. Please note that the cellphone number that will be uploaded into the system is the one that Peace Corps has on file. Please edit your profile in PC Medlink to update this phone number if it has changed, as well as inform your post.

Please keep in mind this does not limit you from ordering or receiving any medical supplies you need to be healthy at site. PC Medlink is a tool we developed to help streamline and organize the management of orders of non-urgent care needs, as always, if you have any urgent care needs please contact your health unit.
