This is a continuous update of the timeline for Google Summer of Code 2014.

Further work
- Improve syntax highlighting color scheme
- Make it possible to switch editors at run-time (e.g. experimental feature)
First prototype is in place. Further work:
- Icons: Multiple color schemes?
- Split into two toolbars for Application actions and Viewer actions
- Collect the viewpoint icons into a drop-down/combobox icon? (to save space)
- Add Icons for Preview, Render, Throwntogether?
- Add some nice color schemes for preview/render (in test3dexport branch)
The original proposal contained a section Full Screen Editing and Viewing (Detatchable View Pane). Initial experiments have shown that this is tricky to get right across Qt versions and Operating Systems. Suggestion: Leave this out until a Qt expert can develop a good framework.
