Background

RViz is a powerful visualization tool for seeing the logic going on and what the sub is thinking. Following are some helpful links.

Action Required

  • Investigate all possible integrations with RViz that might be useful
  • Create an RViz perspective (*.rviz) for any important tasks such as:
    1. Localization testing
    2. Sensor visualization (pinger bearing, IMU?, depth?, cameras?)
  • Write an RViz tool to execute commands such as perform tasks (advanced)

Workflow

  • Discuss with @skallaher and @irwineffect ideas about integration, use cases, and existing work.
  • Implement integrations
  • Create a pull request to merge into master.
