Introduction to Akka

This repository contains the presentation and examples in Java and Scala shown during the Introduction to Akka workshop at Ordina Belgium on the 7th of December 2016. The point of the workshop is to give people unfamiliar with Akka a basic introduction and to give an idea what it is like to develop with.

Java examples

The intro-to-akka-demo project uses Java 8 and Maven.

Scala examples

The intro-to-akka-demo-scala project uses Scala 2.11.6 and sbt.
