Of course there likely is one or more ways to cheat one's way to a few extra points, but it is by far better if you did what is most useful for your education / others, and not just mindlessly grind points. Please.
In fact, if you feel that some educational or helpful way of participating in the course is not rewarded enough/at_all, please tell us and if it is indeed great, we'll sure find a way compensate the difference in points. The only advice is that the sooner you do it, the better.
