GTK for plugin host?

I'd like to try out GTK to be able to remove some of the GUI hacks I've pushed onto this repository.
That'd involve a 3rd rewrite of the plugin-host GUI to use GTK, hopefully supporting enough functionality to be published.
- GTK seems a bit more mature
- Some things don't work out of the box
- Plugins won't be that easy to support
- Can't position a window?
