This is a sample openshift application repository that can be deployed via oc new-app
Hello World via nginx built on Alpine Linux
[vagrant@ocptest ~]$ oc new-project demo
Now using project "demo" on server "https://ocptest.openshift.localdomain:8443".
You can add applications to this project with the 'new-app' command. For example, try:
oc new-app centos/ruby-22-centos7~https://github.com/openshift/ruby-ex.git
to build a new example application in Ruby.
[vagrant@ocptest ~]$ oc new-app --name=demo https://github.com/wicksy/openshift-demo-app
--> Found Docker image d9ad582 (7 months old) from Docker Hub for "wicksy/alpine"
* An image stream will be created as "alpine:latest" that will track the source image
* A Docker build using source code from https://github.com/wicksy/openshift-demo-app will be created
* The resulting image will be pushed to image stream "demo:latest"
* Every time "alpine:latest" changes a new build will be triggered
* This image will be deployed in deployment config "demo"
* Port 8080 will be load balanced by service "demo"
* Other containers can access this service through the hostname "demo"
* WARNING: Image "wicksy/alpine" runs as the 'root' user which may not be permitted by your cluster administrator
