Infrastructure as Code Example - on Amazon Web Services

This is a Tutorial Presentation on Infrastructure as Code on Amazon Web Services ("iaceaws").

It will show you how to create a full stack, automatically and continuously deployed web app using Amazon Web Services tools.

It also illustrates hot buzzwords such as Serverless, Functions as a Service (FaaS), Event Sourcing, and Command Query Response Segregation (ES/CQRS).

Go to the Presentation to get started!

GIT USER WARNINGS

YOU DO NOT NEED TO FORK OR CLONE THIS REPO TO DO THE TUTORIAL! In fact, you probably shouldn't unless you know what you are doing, and want to submit a Pull Request. Why? Because...

The master branch of this repo will be rebased frequently! That is because this repo is a tutorial structured as a set of successive tagged commits which build on previous ones. This also means that the tags will be continuously updated to point to the updated commit SHAs. So...

  1. IF YOU FORK THIS REPO: You should have enough git-fu to know how to deal with rebases and conflicts on your fork :)

  2. IF YOU CLONE THIS REPO: You should always git fetch --tags after pulling or fetching, to ensure you have the latest tags.
