GUI for Hybrid Simulator Testbed

This Wiki is a brief documentation of how to use and change the underlying project.

What's the purpose?

The chair of operating systems of TU Munich developed the hybrid simulator testbed, to test migrations of electronic control units (ECU) algorithms at runtime. The Testing Kit is built to execute those migration tests and at the same time enable inexperienced users without the necessity of understanding the complex enviroment. With the utilization of the Tesing Kit GUI the user is in position to create, run and report tests independently of other persons.
In the end there is a fully functional prototype on basis of the frontend framework Angular and the serverside library nodeJS. A replacable database persists user input, testset settings and testdata locally which can later be exported. The modular character offers interfaces for the enhancement of the Testing Kit in terms of new simulators and changing needs.

The GUI was developed for the following setup but can be used platform independently without guarantee:

  • Ubuntu 18.04
  • Mosquitto Server
