I obtain my Ph.D. from the Human-Computer Interaction Initiative, Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). I am under the supervision of Prof. Xiaojuan Ma. My primary research interest lies in Human-Engaged Computing. I focus on
- Bridging the gulfs among human-computer communications with metaphors
- Assisting exploratory and explanatory data analysis with visualization and storytelling techniques
- Leveraging sensor-captured signals to maintain users' physical and mental health automatically
- Fostering user engagement and wellbeing in a digital experience with positive computing
