I had the same issue. Seems like dotenv demands a .env file and if you follow the guide from start to here, that hasn't happened yet.

The other change helps regarding this discussion: https://discourse.serverless-stack.com/t/add-a-get-note-api/132 where both Ihenkel and I were in the wrong folder running the command.

@josefnorlin Ah for the .env, it's more of a warning. Let's leave that as is for now. In the future I might reorganize the steps.

But let's add the wrong folder issue. Do you mind editing the .env part out for now?
