Issue 1

In Chapter 3, Jason talks about attr_accessible fields which have been depricated now. So I'll have to add those in one of two ways according to devise's github:

1. Add a shorthand if only going to be using one devise model as follows:

   class ApplicationController < ActionController::Base
   	before_filter :configure_permitted_parameters, if: :devise_controller?
   
   	protected
   
   	def configure_permitted_parameters
   		devise_parameter_sanitizer.for(:sign_up) << :username
   	end
   end

2. Derive a Parameter Sanitizer per model class from Devise::ParameterSanitizer:

   class User::ParameterSanitizer < Devise::ParameterSanitizer
   	def sign_in
   		default_params.permit(:username, :email)
   	end
   end

   and then modify the controller as follows:

   class ApplicationController < ActionController::Base
   	protected
   
   	def devise_parameter_sanitizer
   		if resource_class == User
   			User::ParameterSanitizer.new(User, :user, params)
   		else
   			super # Use the default one
   		end
   	end
   end
