Some helpful scripts for VR development in Unity

Editor Scripts

These scripts need to be in a folder called "Editor" in your unity project. They are scripts to extend the functionality of the unity editor.

-VREditorToggle: This script allows us to easily toggle in and out of VR mode for development and quick testing. No effect on gameplay.

-VRInputManagerAssetGenerator: This script auto generates the input settings you will need for VR controllers.

Regular Scripts

These scripts are to be attached to GameObjects in your scene.

-PlayerTrackingAdjustment: This script adjusts the player's rig depending on whether VR is configured for roomscale or standing experiences. Attach this script to your player rig.

-CameraEditorControl: This script allows you to "mock" a VR headset in editor mode (for testing without a VR headset). Attach this script to your player rig.

-Raycast Input: This script handles raycasting from the main camera into the scene. It is also responsible for knowing what the user is looking at and telling the interactable objects what the player is doing (looking at them, looking away, clicking them, and releasing them). The script acheives this by simulating a tradition input using a raycast and then sending it to the event system as if it were a real input event
