Welcome to chinook!

This project has been developed with a mind towards efficient and transparent simulations of angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) experiments. Built around a tight-binding framework, this software package, written in Python3 can facilitate a broad characterization of model Hamiltonians and the related experimental signatures, without being restricted to photoemission alone. We hope that you will find these tools user-friendly and that they will grow to enable a functional understanding of the electronic structure of solids.

This wiki should serve as a userguide to the package, and will hopefully expand with the project userbase.
